Lectors
A Lector is a layperson who proclaims the first and second readings in the Liturgy of the Word. At St. Dominic Catholic Church, Lectors on duty arrive early to review readings; process in with Father/Servers and carry in Book of the Gospels; proclaim the First and Second Readings. Each lector is given a workbook which contains all the Sunday readings for the year. Lectors are asked to prepare for Mass by practicing the readings at home. | Qualifications
- Must be 10 years of age or older.
- Must take training sessions here at St. Dominic.
- Must be a registered member of our Parish.
